About the Artist

---

Laurel Goddard Thomas received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis.  She began her career designing costumes for stage, film, and television.  Her work in costume design is notable for  bold color and design used to bring characters vividly to life on the stage or screen.  She is now pursuing her artwork full time where she brings this same intensity, often combining textures and media to achieve a unique and powerful statement.

Her work has been shown throughout the U.S.A, is represented in many private collections and  "Martini Glass Abstract #3" became a part of the permanent collection of the Palm Springs Art Museum in 2017.
